OnePlus 15 Chipset announced
OnePlus, have now announced the OnePlus 15 which is their next generation Flagship product. And will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite gen 5 mobile platform. This is currently the most powerful. Mobile chipset from Qualcomm and will feature their most advanced GPU and NPU. Which will allow the phone to take advantage of the self-developed Detail Max image engine, which has been designed to take full advantage of the new algorithms and Processes. Enabled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon. 8 Elite gen 5. OnePlus has always pushed, what is possible with regard to using the newest and latest chipsets in their OnePlus, Flagships and continue to do so, with the implant implementation of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
It seems that the new OnePlus 15 will also be putting a lot of onus the performance side of the new Snapdragon Chipset as there seems to be a lot of emphasis placed on performance and cooling in the press release below. OnePlus have always made phones that a powerful devices especially on their Flagship lineup but this is an interesting new direction for the company to be pushing.
This will also be the first OnePlus flagship to not have the Hasselblad co-developed camera system instead relying on the aforementioned self developed DetailMax image engine. It will be interesting to see how this works in reality as the last OnePlus device the OnePlus 13 was finally getting the camera tuning to a point where either was becoming comparable to that of other flagships at the time.
