Moto X70 Air teased at the Snapdragon summit
Lenovo has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of the Moto X70 Air, the latest addition to its Moto X70 series, set to debut in China by the end of October. Marketed under the tagline “Air with AI,” this smartphone is designed to combine a feather-light build with cutting-edge artificial intelligence features, appealing to users who prioritise both style and performance.
The teaser campaign highlights a sleek and minimalist design. The Moto X70 Air appears to have a thin metal frame with a premium finish, currently showcased in a vibrant green colour, though Lenovo is likely to offer a broader palette of colours at launch to suit different tastes. The right-hand side of the handset houses both the power and volume buttons, adhering to a familiar yet practical layout. On the rear, the phone carries a multi-camera setup – expected to include at least two lenses – alongside a protruding camera bump, hinting at enhanced photographic capabilities.
Performance-wise, the Moto X70 Air is expected to be a powerhouse. During the Snapdragon Summit 2025, Motorola was officially listed as a partner for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, strongly suggesting that this will be the chipset powering the device. Built on TSMC’s advanced N3p process, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 uses Qualcomm’s in-house Oryon CPU architecture, boasting clock speeds of 3.8GHz and 3.32GHz. It will share design elements, including certain IP and GPU architecture, with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, promising top-tier graphics and efficiency.
While the teaser gives a compelling first look at the Moto X70 Air’s design and hardware potential, Lenovo has yet to reveal further details on camera specifications, battery capacity, software features, or pricing. With the official launch still weeks away, we will be keep an eye out for more information on this sleek AI-powered smartphone.
