Honor to launch latest tablet at MWC 26
Garry ClarkHonor is absolutely buzzing with activity, and they're not slowing down for a second! Get ready because they've got another exciting device launching on the 1st of March at MWC 26. While the Honor website has been dropping tantalizing teasers all week, today is the day I can finally peel back the curtain and give you a fantastic sneak peek at the specs and the sleek design of this upcoming tablet!
Though I can't do an unboxing just yet, I'm thrilled to share a wealth of fascinating details, including the most crucial information of all: the complete, official specifications for this highly anticipated device!
So what is this mystery device that will be launched, it is of course the Honor MagicPad4 which is their most premium tablet sitting at the top of their tablet lineup.
The following are some images from Honor, whilst these images don't show much about the device we can gain a few more insights into the tablet.

First and foremost this thing is going to be thin, very thin. It is also going to be light in terms of dimensions we are looking at 273.4mm (W) x 178.8mm (H) x 4.8mm (D). that makes it thinner than the iPad Pro and iPad Airat the time of launch. In terms of the weight we have a light weight of 450g for just the tablet or 852g if you are using it with the keyboard setup.
Yes you did read that right there is a keyboard option for the Honor MagicPad4 which is connected via the Pogo Pin connectors you can see in the image above. This is great news as some of the cheaper tablets in the Honor lineup resort to using bluetooth for the keyboards which whilst it works can cause some lag and issues with mistyped characters.

The next big spec I want to cover is the Chipset being used as the astute of you will have seen that the Honor MagicPad4 is using a Snapdragon Chip, well i can now reveal that this will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen5 chip which is the first time it has been implemented into a tablet. Alongside this chip you will find 2 memory configs of 12B RAM + 256 ROM and 16B RAM + 512 ROM. Supporting all of this high end computation is a large battery which is is measuring in at 10100mAh which while that doesn't seem massive in the day of near 7000mAh foldables like the Honor Magic V6, remember that this is all in a body that is 4.8mm thick! That is pretty impressive as you still have to cram in the circuit boards to make this work.
Around the edges of the battery we will find not 4 but 8 Speakers which will support Honor Sound DTS X:Ultra/Spatial Audio/IMAX Enhanced to give greater depth to your media content and games.
But now we need to talk about the screen. This is a beautiful looking panel which is going to give clear and crisp images with great colour depth and accuracy. In terms of specs we have got a 12.3” OLED panel with a resolution of 3000x1920 with a PPI of 290. The panel will have an industry leading 165hz refresh rate and 2400 nits of brightness at peak.
All of this is contained in a screen with an ultra narrow 4mm bezel which is again taking shots at the iPad Pro this gives us a screen to body ratio of 93%. If the screen quality is anything like the ones I have recently seen on the Honor Magic phone lineups then I cant weight to start watching content on this panel. I am also really happy with the size as they could have easily followed the trend of top end tablets and gone 13.3” or higher but they by keeping it sub 13” this for me makes the tablet a great travel size. Combine that with the keyboard accessory and this could conceivably be a replacement for a laptop for very light tasks such as writing a MWC trip daily blog…..
So there we have it, the hardware of the Honor MagicPad4. I am hoping that I will be getting a review unit very soon so once I have that I will share the more complete unboxing experience with you. However in the meantime here are all the specs for you.
