Samsung Z Trifold Launch date leaked along with more specs

The leaks have been coming thick and fast almost at a daily rate for the past few weeks and in this latest batch we find out a bit more about the Samsung Z Trifold phone.

Let's take some time to dive in and find out what we know so far.

The phone will be 4.2mm when fully unfolded and 14mm when fully closed. It looks like you will only be able to take advantage of two screen setups either closed with the 6.5" display or open with 10" display. Unlike Huawei's counterpart which unfolds in a "Z like accordian style" the Samsung offer will fold inwards towards the middle display panel. This limits the option of have it partially opened and just using two of the three internal displays.

We also now know what we can expect battery wise and it looks like Samsung are again up to their usual tricks the Trifold will feature three separate cells on for each section with total size of 5600 mAh. These will not be silicon infused cells as Samsung is still trying to figure that technology out and is relying on what it knows with this new venture.

A report from Korean publication The Chosun confirms the timing and the details about the phone. Note that the Z TriFold will only be manufactured in limited quantities and it will be quite expensive (that last part is no surprise). It will only be available in select markets too, so you may not even have the option of splurging on one without using an import service

So far, Samsung has officially shown only prototype units of the Galaxy Z TriFold. You can see a video that shows how the phone will unfold here.

We will know more soon as the leaks suggest that the phone will be launching albeit in very limited markets on Dec 5th.

If you are on the lookout for one of the latest Trifold then the Average Dad Tech Store will have very limited quantity but do be warned this is going to be very pricey.
