Realme GT8 Pro launched with swappable camera covers

Today we saw the launch of the newest devices in the Realme product line-up, with their flagship device, the Realme GT8 Pro, and the lower-tier Realme GT8. Both these phones have been launched for the Chinese market and are, as you expect, bristling with flagship-level specs.

The Realme GT8 Pro features a stunning 6.79-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a lightning-fast 144Hz refresh rate. Powered by the formidable Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, it also boasts a triple rear camera system equipped with Ricoh GR optics. The GT8 Pro’s impressive battery capacity is 7,000mAh, and it supports rapid charging at 120W. Realme UI 7.0 is seamlessly integrated, and it offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The GT8 Pro’s 50MP main camera is equipped with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and a wide f/1.8 aperture. It also supports Ricoh GR’s full-frame equivalent focal lengths of 28mm and 40mm, allowing for versatile photography options.

Meanwhile on the Realme GT8 we have some slightly more pedestrian specs (if we can call Snapdragon 8 Elite that!)

The Realme GT8 features a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a substantial 7,000mAh battery, and a stunning 2K 144Hz display. Its Ricoh GR-tuned triple camera system includes a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, while a dedicated R1 graphics chip ensures smooth gaming performance. The phone also boasts impressive dust and water resistance, with IP69+IP68+IP66 ratings.

Both phones feature a new camera collaboration with Ricoh, offering tuning and custom photography tones. These tones include Positive, Negative, High-Contrast, Black & White, Standard, and Monochrome.

Another key difference lies in the rear cameras. The Realme GT8 Pro allows you to swap out the camera lens covers with different styles based on your preference. We’ve seen the following styles mentioned: Square, round, and robot styles. These covers will be available through Realme’s official stores. However if you don't have a local Realme Store (and most of you reading this probably wont), you will be able to 3d print your own style suing the 3mf model file. Realme is also going to be holding a competition for the most creative design in Collaboration with MakerWorld.

Pricing is only available in Chinese at the moment and there is no word as the wether these device's will be available globally.

However if you are interested in purchasing either the Realme GT8 Pro or the Realme GT8, then send and email to support@averagedadofficial.com and the team will see if there is anything that they can do for you.
