Honor Magic8 Lite unboxed and Specs finally revealed.

We have been getting teased with details of the Honor Magic 8 Lite over the past few weeks, and I have not been able to share much with you about the phone. Today, that all stops as now I am able not only to share an unboxing of the phone but also to reveal the specs of the device. The only thing I cannot share yet is the price, as even I don't have that yet!!

So first up, here is the unboxing video showing the phone in its full glory.

Some of you will have noticed that the phone is already set up; this is because I have been using it as my daily for about a week already. I am also planning on continuing to use it as my daily for the next few days while I pull the review together.

Now onto the full specs.

As for first impressions, the phone is really nice to use in the hand; it is a good size and comfortable fit when I am holding it. I like the contrast of the sharp, squared-off edges to the rounded corners. The bezels are uniform all around the phone, which gives a very nice, pleasing visual effect.

I have to say that the camera bump is so insignificant that it cannot really be called a bump. This is, of course, down to, as you would expect, the cameras not having a telephoto lens and only having a very small 5MP Ultrawide sitting alongside the 108MP main sensor, which, to be honest, does most of the heavy lifting.

The screen is really nice to look at and work on and goes to a very high brightness, which I have only seen a few times due to it now being winter here in the UK and the auto brightness doing its thing to try and match the levels of light available, which it does quite well.

The last thing I want to say about my first impressions is that the sound from the phone is great, and I have used the phone for playing back audiobooks in my work van on loudspeaker, which has been fine.

So I mentioned that all the details are now official, but so without further ado and my rambling here, is the press release with honours magic words about the new phone.
