Are you a fan of exotic supercars, do you enjoy sim racing in the comfort of your own home? If the two above things ring true for you then you are in luck as Xiaomi have just announced an update that will make the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV on Gran Turismo 7 via an update that can be downloaded on the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5.

The cars dynamics have been honed and fine tuned by Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer of the Gran Turismo series, who personally test-drove the vehicle to help ensure the in-game experience mirrors its real-world performance.

Through professional technical processes, they ensure the virtual car maintains extreme consistency with its physical model. To achieve this, XiaomiEV’s vehicle dynamics performance team specifically travelled to Polyphony Digital’s studio in Fukuoka to participate in the final driving experience validation, ensuring the in-game rendition accurately captures the dynamics of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

If just driving it for fun is not enough for you you will also be able to compete with other drivers, Polyphony Digital will also host a two-week official lap-time challenge on the Monza circuit in Gran Turismo 7.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Hits the Virtual Track in Gran Turismo 7

Flagship performance EV debuts in legendary racing simulator, marking a

new milestone for automotive excellence on the global stage.

London, UK, 28 January 2026 - Xiaomi and renowned video game developer Polyphony

Digital Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., today announced that

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will launch in the acclaimed racing simulation game Gran Turismo 7 on

PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 platforms, beginning January 29, 2026. The vehicle will

debut as part of the upcoming “Update 1.67” patch, marking the brand’s landmark first

entry into the storied Gran Turismo franchise. Following the update’s release at 2:00 PM

(GMT+8), players worldwide will be able to experience the prowess of this highperformance

luxury car on the game's virtual tracks.

As a benchmark in racing simulations, the Gran Turismo series is globally recognised for

its hyper-realistic driving experience and stringent vehicle selection criteria, with a

historical focus on classic performance models from established global brands. The

collaboration between Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital was officially announced on June 7,

2025. With its exceptional performance and technological innovation, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

represents a new addition to the Gran Turismo series’ carefully curated vehicle lineup,

drawing attention from players and automotive enthusiasts worldwide.

Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer of the Gran Turismo series, test-drove Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

on multiple occasions at locations including Beijing, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and

Tsukuba Circuit, engaging in in-depth exchanges with Xiaomi EV executives and

engineering teams. To faithfully recreate the authentic experience of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra for

global players, both teams dedicated themselves to building a highly precise digital

vehicle model in the game. Through professional technical processes, they ensure the

virtual car maintains extreme consistency with its physical model. To achieve this, Xiaomi

EV’s vehicle dynamics performance team specifically travelled to Polyphony Digital’s

studio in Fukuoka to participate in the final driving experience validation, ensuring the ingame

rendition accurately captures the dynamics of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is powered by an in-house developed Dual V8s + V6s Xiaomi Hyper

Tri-Motor system, delivering a combined maximum output of 1,548 horsepower and 1,770

N·m of torque. Coupled with an 800V high-voltage platform, it achieves supercar-level

acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 1.98 seconds (without one-foot rollout). The vehicle

features a double-wishbone front suspension, a five-link rear suspension, and dualchamber

air springs paired with high-performance adaptive dampers, striking a balance

between ultimate handling and ride comfort. It offers a CLTC range of 630 km and

supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 11 minutes, achieving a perfect equilibrium

between performance and practicality.

As the high-performance flagship of Xiaomi EV, the production version of Xiaomi SU7

Ultra first challenged the Nürburgring Nordschleife on 1st April, 2025. Equipped with the

optional Track Package, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra set a blistering lap time of 7:04.957, decisively

breaking the record for electric executive vehicles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This

milestone achievement stems from a relentless pursuit of track performance, enabled by

a top-tier electric powertrain system, chassis torque vectoring control, and advanced

aerodynamic design.

Previously, Xiaomi Group Founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun expressed his great

pleasure that Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was selected for inclusion in Gran Turismo 7, looking

forward to allowing more Gran Turismo 7 players and automotive culture enthusiasts to

appreciate the charm of high-performance smart vehicles from Xiaomi EV.

In 2025, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was also showcased in multiple countries and regions,

including Spain, Singapore, Japan, and Berlin, receiving acclaim from global automotive

professionals and enthusiasts. As Xiaomi EV advances its global strategy, this

performance vehicle, blending power with intelligence, is conveying its technological

confidence and appeal on both virtual and real-world tracks. To celebrate the launch,

Polyphony Digital will host a two-week official lap-time challenge on the historic Monza

circuit in Gran Turismo 7, inviting players worldwide to compete using Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
