Motorola razer fold is now official and it looks good.

We are a tad late to this one so my apologies but I want to talk today about the new Motorola razer fold.

This was officially unveiled in its entirety at MWC and I was lucky enough to get some hand sometime with it whilst I attended a booth tour with Lenovo.

While I was there I had the chance to get some hand ons time with the Moto razr fold. I also took some time to get some pictures of it. 

While my time was very brief I did garner a few things,

• The cameras in use are the same cameras that have been use on the Motorola Signature. (Check the full review for samples of this).
• They have  implemented a titanium back panel behind the crease to reduce it as much as possible, however when compared to my Oppo Find N5 it is still there. it is about on par with the Find N5.
• The phone sits at just under 10mm thin which does put it on the thicker side of things but it is still certainly thin enough.
• The device is running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 which is the same again as the Motorola Signature.
• The sound is enhanced by Bose and has built in sound profiles which can be easily customizable.
• On the outside, razr fold is the world’s first smartphone featuring Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic Which is awesome too see on a foldable as it is a genuine concern to someone who owns one.
• The phone has also been awarded the coveted DXOMARK Gold Label for imaging excellence.
• There are two colour versions, Pantone® Blackened Blue and Pantone® Lily White and also a Limited Edition FIFA 26 version which features 24K gold plating detailing, this is the more expensive version.
• It will support the moto pen which is an optional add on stylus that is not stowable on device but has its own separate charging case.

That about covers what iIwas able to gather from the brief hands on time I had with the phone. I am hoping that I will be able to get a review unit in the near future to provide you with more insight of the device.

I think that this is an interesting device and i am glad to see that Motorla are brining it to the market in Europe first then America will follow. However when compared to the upcoming devices it may fall a tad short in terms of specs. Having said that if it offers  similar software experience to the excellent Motorola Signature it may be worth considering. Hopefully when it launches there will be some compelling pre-launch offers to entice buyers.
